A Busy Year for Tax Legislation.
From a tax legislation standpoint 2010 has been a roller coaster ride of "will they or won't they and if they do what will it be." All of the uncertainty climaxed in December with the signing of the 2010 Tax Relief Act. We now must sift through a complex array of new rules for 2010 that were already in place and changes under the Tax Relief Act that apply retroactively. We also have many tax savings provisions that have been extended for 2011 and 2012. Here are some of the notable new tax provisions we will need to consider as we work on your returns.
