Big Processing Issue for Oregon Filers.

Oregon has not yet adopted all of the tax breaks that were revived and extended by the federal 2010 Tax Relief Act. This means many filers may have additions to income on their Oregon returns because the federal income figure used to compute tax on the Oregon return is too low. The Oregon legislature may be able to act in time to adopt some or all of the extended tax breaks, but you should not count on this. Oregon is in a revenue seeking mode and we look for few tax forgiveness provisions to come into play. If the Oregon legislature does not act before your 2010 return is ready to file, you may need to file an extension or file an amended return if you file before the legislature acts.
